Yummy Display

I love to have a homemade dessert on display! It's just something about the smell and/or sight of a homemade dessert that makes your house feel like home. I also like to put a sign next to the dessert to identify it. This is just an inexpensive picture frame with a card that says fresh baked cookies. It's just that simple. Whenever we have guests stop by they always ask us, "Is that dessert REAL"? (Lol) Give it a try! You will be amazed how much your guests will enjoy it.

Homemade Veggie Tacos

Here's the recipe for my Veggie Tacos! I try to ONLY use organic items simply because I eat A LOT of RAW food! Romaine Lettuce, Diced Tomatoes, Diced Avocado, Refried Black Beans, Shredded Cheese, Diced Green Onions, Spanish Rice, and Tofu Sour Cream.

Keep the Castle Clean

Homemade Coffee Station

My daughter LOVES the modern look! Even though she's not a coffee drinker (like her mom) she's a huge hot apple cider and hot chocolate drinker! So, I decided to create her a "Hot Chocolate" station. It's very easy! Start with a flat surface piece of furniture. This is simply an old dresser without the mirror. Place a coffee pot of your choice on one end of the surface and a platter or serving tray on the other end. Then, simply stock the "Coffee Station" with all of your favorite drinks! I also like to add extra little snacks to the area such as, mini marshmallows, a cinnamon shaker, raw sugar, powdered sugar, mini crackers, and mixed nuts. I personally like to add a soft comfy chair next to our coffee station. It's the perfect place to curl up with a good book!

New Year's Day Gift Idea

A friend of the family gave our family this neat New Year's gift and I wanted to share it with you. Here is the recipe: 1pound Dried Black Eyed Peas. 1 Chopped Onion. 1 Package Taco Seasoning. 8 Cups Water or Broth. 1 Can Tomato Sauce. Sort, rinse and drain peas. In a large pot, heat a small amount of oil, and add onion. You can also add ham or sausage at this time if desired. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Add water or broth and bring to a boil. Add dried peas, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, and any other seasonings of your choice. Simmer gently for 2-3 hours and enjoy! Happy 2017 :)
