Remind Him Often Why You Chose to Love Him

God knows, you've got your reasons for loving your hubby, but does your hubby know? At this very moment does he know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, how much you love him and why? Whatever your feelings about him and commitment to him may be, you have made a choice to love him. It was no accident that you chose to love him, and daily you choose to continue. Why do you choose to love him? Is it his strong but gentle nurturing spirit? His sense of humor? His one in a million smile? Is it the soft passionate way he can touch you? Is it his clever way with words? Is it the way he knows exactly what's wrong without you saying a word? Or maybe it's the bowlike curve of his thighs, the fragrance at the center of his chest, or the him and him alone way he says your name? Any of these? Maybe all of them and more. Tell him and remind him often! Dr. Ronn Elmore said,"Never get so busy building a future together that you fail to revisit-together-the reasons that you loved him in the first place.
Say it: My love for him is not accidental. I love him on purpose and with good cause. Remembering why I do, and how much I do, helps us both that our worst of times are worth enduring, and our best of times are worth celebrating.

  1. If only we would tell our hubbies often how we love them, even when they make us mad! It's a hard learned lesson for me. Five years long. Thank God for marriage reconciliation and restoration!! Tell him! Praise HIM!

  2. What a beautiful picture of you two! God is good! For the flesh it's so much easier to voice the complaints rather than the virtues. But thank God that we don't walk according to the flesh but rather the Spirit!!!!

  3. Right now I love my man more than words can express. I have told him in these past few days how much he means to me. They do need to hear it. Hard times always draw us closer and it also shows us how much we need each other.
