Me Time!

Have you ever felt like crying for no apparent reason? As woman, we are pulled so many different directions. I'm a very happy, up beat girly girl! I love cooking, cleaning, soap making, working out, baking homemade desserts, makeup, and all thing girly! However, I work 40hrs a week in a factory, manage an energy company with over 1,322 customers, a member of the hospitality ministry at church, manage 2 websites, wife of the boss, mother of 2 teenagers, and pet owner! Wow, let me be the first to say it!(smile) Sometimes I feel so guilty for not being a stay at home mom. I thank God daily for blessing me with a wonderful family. I just want to spend as much time with then as I possibly can. I'm a very busy woman to say the least, but I love doing all of it! I really enjoy my life; however, sometimes I feel like "SCREAMING". This was one of those weekends. We had to work 14hrs of mandatory overtime this week. That means instead of starting to work at 6:00am last week we had to start at 3:00am! I was just exhausted. I needed a break, so I made me an appointment for a day at the spa! It was great. I got a facial, relaxer, massage, and a pedicure. It was well worth the money. I also need to recharge with the Lord. Sunday school did it! Thanks for listening to me event!

  1. That's fantastic! Way to go and I cheer you on!! I just received a loving "tongue-lashing" today from a friend about never taking "me" time. I know it's important but so hard to get past the guilt of doing it. You've inspired me. :)

  2. @Susan...As women, we tend to put our dreams and aspirations on hold to help our children and husbands achieve theirs. It's okay to take some "me" time without feeling guilty.

  3. Mom's have to take care of themselves too. I know Mom is at the bottom of the list, but she is on the list. Enjoy every minute of it.

  4. Hi there!
Just popped over from DeNiece's blog.

Wow! If anyone deserves a spa day, it's you!
I am a girly girl too! I love manicures, pedicures, makeup, homemaking etc.
I've been blessed to be able to stay home though. I honestly don't know how you do it all! As I say, I'm home and I have trouble doing it all.. LOL.
I admire you so much. It sounds like even though you are a very busy woman, your family is first. They are your main focus. That is awesome.
Keep up the great work. I'm positive that you are a wonderful wife and Mother!!!
I'm happy that you found some "me" time. :)
