I did a little research on which veggie has the most vitamins and minerals. Kale was at the top of the list. It is one of the best cancer fighting foods. I must say, I'd never heard of kale before reading about it. After browsing through several recipes, I decided to just think of kale as a pretty collard green:)

I washed them several times.

Chop and remove the center stem.

I used a smoked turkey bone to season the Kale. It was so good!!!

This was a great addition to my Sunday soul food dinner. We had candied yams, steamed cabbage, turkey legs, cornbread, and yummy kale. Please give it a try!

  5. I want to warn you that Kale is super bitter. That's why I cooked it like I cook my collard greens. I used a turkey bone, 1/2 onion, 1 tablespoon season salt, and 1 teaspoon sugar. Play around with it first. Let me know how you prepare it. Thanks for the sweet comment! God Bless

  6. I LOVE kale with collards! I do the exact same thing and make them with smoked turkey. I have had a taste for some, I may have them on Sunday dinner's menu!
