Monday Evening Routine

Monday is our family sheet changing day! I strip all beds down and wash the sheets while I prepare dinner. Today we had homemade cheeseburger soup. The temperature just dropped to the low 30's here in Texas so I thought soup would be a great idea.
For dessert we had homemade banana pudding.
After dinner I cleaned the kitchen, made the beds, played on the computer for a while, and then it was bubble bath time. I love bubble bath time! I light candles around the tub and play soft music. It's so relaxing! Stay tuned for Tuesdays routine!

  2. Good Morning Sonya,

It must be a Texas thing ... because I too change our household bedding on Mondays LOL!!

Mmmmm, your banana pudding looks divine. A few months after moving to the Montana prairie, I made banana pudding for a church potluck and these folks up here didn't know what it was and had never heard of it. By the way, they also did not know what enchiladas, gumbo, etoufe, jambalaya, green chili, tamales, are (there isn't enough room to list how deprived these folks are of good food). Nor do they eat beans and rice & they thought fried green tomatoes was the name of a movie ... they were shocked to find that we really do eat them! Preparing southern favorites / classics for the church potluck has introduced a whole new world of cuisine to these northwestern ranchers and farmers. The older guys are hesitant to try many of the foods I prepare, but the wives and younger men are always eager try my dishes and ALWAYS go back for seconds.

    Blessings to you and yours,
    Mrs.B
